Congratulations to the Lady Jackets basketball team on their victory over Effingham last night.  Korine Talkington led the offense with 19 pts, Addie Hood added 9. Defense was the key to success.  Great Job Lady Jackets. 


Congratulations to Lady Jackets Basketball team on their win over Bryan county 50-36 on Saturday. Good Luck to them as they play their 1st region game today at Windsor Forest.


The boys basketball team won their season opener over South Effingham by a score of 65-53.  A balanced scoring effort was led by AJ Williams with 16, Landen Collins with 14, Ryon Reed with 13, and Redding Calhoun with 10. The Jackets home opener is this Friday night vs Camden County.


The boys basketball team won their scrimmage game vs Burke County in Saturday by a score of 69-65. After being down 43-30 at halftime, the Yellow Jackets turned up the intensity on defense to complete the comeback victory.  AJ Williams led all scorers with 32 points, Redding Calhoun and Landon Collins each had 11, and a host of Jacket players pitched in for key baskets and stops in a total team win.  This Friday, both girls and boys teams open their regular seasons with a road contest at South Effingham. --


Girls basketball team ended up 4th in Region Tournament this weekend.   They will play in 1st round of State tournament on  Friday Feb. 14th 6:00pm at Monroe Comprehensive High School in Albany Ga. 


Congratulations to the Lady Jackets on their win over Jenkins last night and securing a top 4 finish in the region tournament and 1st round in state. The Lady Jackets win was lead by great defense as a team. Holding Jenkins to 12 pts in the first half.  Then going on a 19 to 7 run in the 4th quarter.  The leading scorer was Ansleigh Littles with 17 and Madison Taylor with 16, ZaRiya Wadley with 6.  The girls will be back in play today at 7:00 vs. Johnson. The Tournament continues Friday with championship game and consolation games. Come support the Lady Jackets!


The SEB boys’ basketball team dropped a tough game at Groves last night 58-54.  Khristian Clark scores 24 points on the night and Jordyn Bradford had 18.  The jackets will close out the regular season this Friday night at Savannah High.  


Friday night the SEB boys made it a senior night to remember by crushing islands 86-51.  After the game got started with an alley-oop from Khristian Clark to senior Janard Mike, the jackets never looked back.  Mike would finish with 16 points, Senior Jordyn Bradford dropped 17, and Senior Ben Proctor added 4 blocks and 5 rebounds.  Ryan Swanson added 16, Clark led scorers with 20, and A.J. Williams scored 13 to make it five players in double figures.  The jackets are back in action tomorrow night at Groves. 


The boys basketball team nearly knocked off the 5th ranked team in the state last as they traveled to Johnson High.  After coming back from a double digit deficit, Ryan Swanson put the jackets up 67-66 on a four point play.  In the end Johnson won 83-71 but the jackets fought til the end.  Swanson led scoring with 19, Khristian Clark had 18, Jordyn Bradford had 14 A.J. Williams had 10, and Janard Mike had 6 points and 10 rebounds.  


The boys basketball team won a thrilling game over Benedictine last night 77-71 in overtime. After being down by 10 at halftime, the Jackets stormed back behind some hot shooting and 22 points from Khristian Clark, 15 from AJ Williams, 13 from Jordyn Bradford and 10 from Ryan Swanson.  Janard Mike added 9 points, Kayden Taylor had 6, and Omaris Coleman played tremendous defense.  Next up is Windsor Forest at home on Friday.  


The Lady Jackets lost in overtime Tuesday to Jenkins.  It was not without a great effort from Katy Fuller with a game high 14 points and five rebounds. ZaRaiya Wadley and Ansleigh Littles both added 7 points.  On the defensive end Delanie Thames led the team with 8 rebounds.  Good job girls keep working! 

Boys’ basketball dropped a tough game last night at Jenkins by a score of 71-67 after coming back from down 19 in the 4th quarter.  Ryan Swanson had 20 points in the 4th quarter to finish with 28.  Khristian Clark and Janard Mike had 15 and 13, and Jordyn Bradford finished with 10.  Next up for the Jackets is a home game with Beach this Friday. 


The SEB boys' basketball traveled to South Effingham and rolled to a
90-70 victory.  The total team effort was led by Janard Mike's 32 point, 10 rebound performance.  Ryan Swanson and Khristian Clark had 19 and 16 points, and Jordyn Bradford and Kayden Taylor had 8 apiece.  Michael Dixon, Ryon Reed, AJ Williams, Russell Williams and Ben Proctor played outstanding defense and kept the ball moving.  The JV boys also cruised to a 73-49 victory, led by Tyler Griffin's 19 and Kam Wadley's 13 points in a total team effort.


The SEB boys’ basketball team won a thriller in overtime Saturday at Islands.  Khristian Clark hit two free throws to send the game into overtime and led the scoring with 29 points.  Janard Mike added 18 points, Jordyn Bradford had 11 and Ryan Swanson had 8.  Ryon Reed played great defense, and Kayden Taylor had two huge defensive plays in the closing minutes to ensure the win.  Next up for SEB is South Effingham on the road Tuesday night.

Congratulations to the Lady Jackets Basketball team on their Region win over Islands Saturday.  The offense leaders were Ansleigh Littles with ten points and Katy Fuller with seven.   Delanie Thames led the Defense with nine rebounds and Katy Fuller added an additional eight rebounds.  Ansleigh Littles had six steals along with great team defense to win the game. 


Congratulations to the Lady Jackets for winning Varsity and JV games yesterday against Windsor Forest.  The varsity was led by Jayden Smith with 16 points, Emily Fowler with 10 points and Shazaria Johnson with 8 points. In JV action, the Lady Jackets were led by Abigail Morgan with 10 points, Ansleigh Littles with 8 points, Shay Littles 7 points and Lizzy Cone 6 points.  Great job girls.

The boys’ basketball team fought very hard last night in a road game with Windsor Forest.  The Jackets gave the #2 team in the state all they could handle before falling 73-50.  Ryan Swanson and Khristian Clark led scoring with 12 and 11.  Freshman Ryon Reed pitched in 7.  The Jackets will host Johnson at home this Friday. 

Congratulations to the Lady Jackets basketball team on their win over Screven this Saturday, 54 to 35. Delanie Thames lead the way with 13 points, ZaRiya Wadley with 11, and Shay Littles with 8.  Everyone on the team contributed with scoring, it was a total team effort.

The boys basketball teams notched a pair of wins on Friday and Saturday.  Friday night, the boys defeated Benedictine 58-57 on a Russell Williams free throw with 3 seconds left.  Janard Mike had a 16 point, 9 rebound effort, Khristian Clark had 11 points and 7 steals, and Ryan Swanson scored 10.  On Saturday, the Jackets cruised to a 60-42 win over Screven County.  AJ Williams led the scoring with 19, Janard Mike notched a 12 point, 13 rebound double-double, and Jordyn Bradford pitched in 12 points.  This week the Jackets take on Windsor Forest on Tuesday on the road, Johnson Friday at home, and Islands Saturday on the road.



Congratulations to the Lady Jackets on their win last Tuesday against Region opponent Jenkins.  The Lady Jackets won 55-41.  Leading scorers were Madison Taylor with 18 and Delanie Thames with 15.  Good defensive team effort was the key to success.  Good job, ladies.


Friday night, the SEB boys’ basketball team lost a close game 68-60 to Statesboro High.  AJ Williams and Ryan Swanson led scoring with 16 and 15 points, respectively, and AJ Williams added 7 assists.  Jordyn Bradford had 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.  Ryon Reed played excellent defense against the Statesboro big men.
On Saturday, the boys picked up a big win over Bryan County 71-50.  Jordyn Bradford exploded with 30 points including 6 three pointers.  Janard Mike had a double-double, tallying 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Omaris Coleman also pulled down 10 rebounds.  

The boys will be back in action Saturday as they open up region play traveling to Beach High school.


The lady Jackets fell short Tuesday night in a hard fought game.  The offense was led by Jayden Smith and Ainsleigh Littles with 10 points each. Keep working hard girls!

Jordyn Bradford led all scorers with 20 points, while Janard Mike and Ryan Swanson each had 12.  AJ Williams pulled down 9 rebounds, and Omaris Coleman added 6 rebounds and 4 blocks.  Both boys and girls basketball teams open up the season TOMORROW vs. South Effingham AT HOME.  JV Girls starts and 4:30, with varsity girls at 6:00 and varsity boys at 7:30.  Come support your Yellow Jacket basketball teams and let's FILL THE NEST!
